It can, that is the nature of the material. Aluminum takes marks instead of cracking the way plastic shells do, and most owners consider the wear part of the case's character. Structural damage is covered by lifetime service.

Yes. The case closes with TSA-approved frame latches instead of zippers. TSA agents can open and relock them with standard tools during inspection, so nothing gets cut. More on how that works in our TSA locks guide.
Why no zippers?

A closed coil zipper can be split open with a ballpoint pen in seconds and re-zipped without a trace, and zipper failure is the most common way otherwise fine luggage dies. It is built to standard cabin sizing for major US airlines. Some international carriers use smaller sizers and most cap cabin weight at 7 to 12 kg, so check your airline before flying abroad. Our size guide and weight limits guide have the numbers.

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft cloth, then dry it. Never use abrasives, steel wool, or harsh solvents on anodized aluminum. The full routine is in aluminum luggage care.

A 48 x 13 mm aluminum plate riveted to the shell, with machined lettering. No ink, nothing printed, nothing to wear off. It is the only branding on the case.

Damage in transit is on us. Email info@taloluggage.com with photos within 48 hours of delivery and we will repair or replace it at no cost.
