The product

TALO does not make a collection. The Cabin is the product, and every decision on it is made for a carry-on that gets used for years. The shell is ribbed anodized aluminum; the ribs add stiffness to the panels. The case closes with TSA-approved frame latches, metal on metal, so there is no zipper to split or derail. It rolls on four spinner wheels and extends on a machined aluminum telescoping handle, with top and side carry handles for lifting it into a bin.

The shell is 20 inches tall without wheels, which is where the 20 inch name comes from. With the wheels, the full case measures 22.6 x 15.4 x 8.3 in (57.3 x 39.2 x 21 cm). It weighs 8.36 lb (3.79 kg) empty according to the supplier specification. Airline carry-on limits vary by airline and fare, so compare those numbers with your airline's current limits before you fly. Our carry-on size guide lists the published limits.

The only branding is a 48 x 13 mm aluminum plate, engraved and riveted to the shell. There is no printed logo and no ink to wear off. The case comes in one finish.

The same product page also lists two checked sizes, Check-In M (24 inch) and Check-In L (26 inch). Check The Cabin's page for their current availability and dimensions.

How TALO compares

Aluminum carry-ons are a small field. A handful of makers build them, and prices run from a few hundred dollars to well over $1,000 for the same basic construction: an aluminum shell, a frame, latches, and four wheels. The Cabin costs $379, and TALO publishes its dimensions and weight on the product page.

On weight, the big-name aluminum carry-ons weigh 9 to 13 lb according to the figures their makers publish, and The Cabin's 8.36 lb specification is lighter than all of them.

Buying from TALO

TALO sells direct at taloluggage.com. Checkout runs on Shopify, with major cards, Shop Pay, and digital wallets, and eligible orders can be split into four payments with Shop Pay Installments. Orders ship free and tracked to the contiguous 48 states and Washington, DC; TALO does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or outside the US yet.

Returns are simple. You have 60 days from delivery to return an unused case in its original packaging for a full refund, and we email a prepaid label the same business day you ask. Unused means the case could go to the next customer as new: packing it at home, rolling it on indoor floors, and opening the latches are all fine. Full terms are in returns and exchanges and shipping and delivery.

Lifetime service covers the wheels, latches, handles, and telescoping trolley for the life of the case, free for covered repairs. Cosmetic wear is not covered. Details are in lifetime service.
